Summer Term 6

We are approaching the end of the school year and we are looking forward to the holidays, moving schools, changing school year groups and the long awaited school productions.

Some of you will be taking exams this session and others will continue to prepare for future exams and your end of year concert performances.  Make sure you chose a piece you want to perform because you are going to hear it quite often as you work towards the final performance.

It's also a good time to think about servicing or overhauling instruments to ensure that they stay in tip-top shape for the coming year.  During the holidays we are likely to be playing less and so will not miss the instrument for a couple of weeks while this takes place.  A regularly serviced instrument will last for many years in good playing condition and will also hold its value.  As a guide, they should be serviced every 2 years by a qualified repairer.  Ask you teacher to recommend a suitable repairer if you are unsure.
