Spring Term

Happy New Year!  We hope you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to achieving all of your aims for the coming year.

You should have had a chance to clean your instruments, especially mouthpieces.  A good wipe down after every use goes a long way to reducing microbial growth.  There are many articles regarding ‘bagpipe lung’, a respiratory condition caused in part, by poor hygiene with mouthpieces.

Some of you will be taking exams this session and are working hard towards them.  Some are exploring other repertoire following successful exams last term.

Let’s make 2020 the year we all work our hardest towards achieving our goals, whatever they are.

The autumn term is now well underway.  Students that have transitioned to Secondary schools are hopefully all settled into their new schedules and the anxious time for parents is now coming to an end.

Hopefully everyone has confirmed lesson slots for this term, however if you are still waiting for things to calm down and have not been able to do this yet please let me know as soon as you can.  Lesson slots are filling up fast.
